Original WW2 German Document - Entlassungsschein P. D. A. Durchangslager Amersfoort, Amsterdam (1944)

An original release certificate from the Politisches Durchgangslager Amersfoort, also known as the Amersfoort Concentration Camp. This certificate was for Albertus Franciscus Smit, born on the 28th of May 1920 in Amsterdam. His camp number was 12777. The camp doctor checked him on the 25th of May and he had a middle ear infection, his last visit was on the 7th of June 1944. Two days later on the 9th of June, he was released.

The Lagerkommandant SS-Untersturmführer Karl Peter Berg approved the release, marked with his signature stamp. On the other side, there is a remark that he was not fit to work with the arbeitseinsatz in Germany.

Een origineel vrijlatingsbewijs van het Politisches Durchgangslager Amersfoort, ook bekend als het concentratiekamp Amersfoort. Dit bewijs was voor Albertus Franciscus Smit, geboren op 28 mei 1920 in Amsterdam. Zijn kampnummer was 12777. De kamparts onderzocht hem op 25 mei en hij had een middenoorontsteking, zijn laatste bezoek was op 7 juni 1944. Twee dagen later, op 9 juni, werd hij vrijgelaten.

De Lagerkommandant SS-Untersturmführer Karl Peter Berg keurde de vrijlating goed, gemarkeerd met zijn handtekeningstempel. Aan de andere kant staat een opmerking dat hij niet geschikt was om te werken met de arbeitseinsatz in Duitsland.
